Family Seeks Help as Gunmen Allegedly Abduct APC Chieftain in Kogi Hotel


The family of Mr. Muhammad Owuda Tijani, popularly known as Jeje, has raised the alarm over his alleged abduction by unknown gunmen from a hotel in Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to the family, Owuda was reportedly taken away at about 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from a hotel located around the Kabba Junction axis of Adavi. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the incident occurred suddenly, throwing the area into confusion.
Following the incident, relatives said they promptly reported the matter to the police and other relevant security agencies. However, the agencies reportedly denied any involvement in the operation, deepening concerns over the circumstances surrounding the abduction.
The family described the situation as distressing and called on security authorities to intensify efforts to locate and rescue Owuda. They also appealed to the public for any useful information that could assist ongoing investigations.
Mr. Owuda is known as a committed party member and a prominent stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okene, Kogi State, with a long history of political and community engagement.
As of the time of filing this report, no contact has been made by the abductors, and no ransom or other demands have been communicated, leaving his whereabouts unknown.
