The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Enugu State Command, Commandant Elijah Etim Willie, PhD, has extended warm Christmas greetings to the people of Enugu State while assuring them of robust security throughout the festive period.
In his Yuletide message, the Commandant wished residents a joyful Christmas, praying that the season brings love, peace, and goodwill to families and communities across the state.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the NSCDC to the protection of lives and property, disclosing that personnel have been massively deployed to identified flashpoints, volatile areas, and strategic locations within Enugu metropolis and across all 17 Local Government Areas of the state. He added that patrol teams and standby units are on constant alert to respond promptly to any security situation.
With these security measures in place, Commandant Willie encouraged residents to go about their lawful activities without fear, visit family and friends, and enjoy the festive celebrations with confidence, knowing that the Corps is working tirelessly to ensure their safety.
The NSCDC Enugu State Command, he assured, remains fully prepared and committed to maintaining peace and order before, during, and after the Christmas and New Year festivities.
