The Commandant of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Major General Adewale Collins Adetoba, has charged newly promoted Colonel Adamu Ibrahim to continue working diligently and adding greater value to the Nigerian Army. He also encouraged other officers in the College to commit to continuous professional development in order to provide practical solutions to specific challenges within the Army while carrying out their duties.
Major General Adetoba gave this charge during the decoration ceremony of the former Lieutenant Colonel, held on Tuesday, 9 December 2025, at the Commandant’s Conference Room, Ojo, Lagos. Colonel Ibrahim, who currently serves as the Acting Chief Instructor, Military and Information Technology at NACOLM, was decorated with his new rank by the Commandant, assisted by the Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance.
While congratulating Colonel Ibrahim on his well-deserved elevation, the Commandant expressed gratitude to God for granting him favour and emphasized that the new rank comes with higher expectations and responsibilities. He added that the promotion will further prepare the senior officer for more demanding roles within the Nigerian Army.
Major General Adetoba further urged the newly promoted officer to remain steadfast and loyal, noting that added responsibilities accompany every elevation in the military. He also extended appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu NAM, for his leadership and approval of the promotion.
In his vote of thanks, Colonel Adamu Ibrahim expressed deep appreciation to God for the privilege of witnessing such a remarkable moment in his career. He also thanked the COAS for deeming him worthy of promotion. Additionally, he expressed profound gratitude to the Commandant for his exemplary leadership and continuous support, assuring him of renewed commitment and dedication in performing his duties.
The ceremony was attended by the Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, faculty members, administrative staff, and senior officials, including the Deputy Controller of Customs in charge of the M2 Bonded Terminal, Apapa, alongside his colleague.
