The Katsina State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has reaffirmed its partnership with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) to enhance security operations, ensure public safety, and safeguard critical national assets and infrastructure.
This commitment was restated during a courtesy visit by the State Commandant, CC A.D. Moriki (Acting Commandant), to the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Abba-Aji Idris, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Customs House, Katsina.
Speaking during the visit, Commandant Moriki said the interaction was aimed at strengthening the long-standing cordial relationship between both agencies in Katsina State. He acknowledged the unwavering support and leadership of the NSCDC Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, whose vision continues to drive national security efforts and the protection of vital installations.
Commandant Moriki further pledged his commitment to sustaining strong inter-agency cooperation with the Customs Service in the areas of intelligence sharing, joint operations, and community engagement, to ensure a safer and more secure environment across the State. He expressed appreciation for the warm reception extended to him and his delegation.
In his response, Comptroller Abba-Aji Idris welcomed the State Commandant and commended the NSCDC for its proactive role in promoting peace and stability. He assured the Customs Command’s readiness to work closely with the NSCDC to combat smuggling, strengthen border security, and address other cross-border crimes threatening the safety of citizens.
Both agencies reaffirmed their resolve to maintain close collaboration in the collective pursuit of national peace, unity, and development.
