The Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Olufemi Peters, has paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja to strengthen collaboration between the university and the Nigeria Police Force.
Accompanied by members of NOUN’s management team, Professor Peters expressed appreciation to the Police for their continued partnership and support, particularly in establishing the Special Police Study Centre in Dei-Dei, Abuja.
He reaffirmed NOUN’s mission to provide accessible and flexible higher education to Nigerians regardless of their profession, location, or work schedule, describing the Police Study Centre as a clear reflection of the university’s commitment to inclusive education.
Professor Peters also commended the IGP and the Police leadership for their cooperation in advancing this initiative and called for further expansion of the study centre to accommodate more officers interested in pursuing academic and professional development.
