The newly deployed State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, has paid a courtesy visit to the Zonal Commander of Zone 16, Assistant Commandant General (ACG) UA Udo, at the Zonal Headquarters in Lafia, shortly after assuming duty as the 11th substantive Commandant of the State Command.
During the visit, Commandant Brah reaffirmed his dedication to fulfilling the Corps’ mandate of safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure, promoting peace and security, and strengthening collaboration with sister security agencies and stakeholders within the zone.
He expressed profound appreciation to the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, for entrusting him with the leadership of the Command. He further assured that he would justify the confidence reposed in him through effective leadership, discipline, and professionalism.
In his remarks, Zonal Commander ACG UA Udo congratulated Commandant Brah on his appointment and urged him to leverage his wealth of experience to sustain operational excellence, deepen community engagement, and intensify the fight against criminal activities across Nasarawa State.
The visit also provided an avenue for deliberations on tackling vandalism of public infrastructure, improving intelligence gathering, and strengthening synergy between the State Command and the Zonal Headquarters.
With this official engagement, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru formally begins his tenure as the 11th substantive Commandant of the NSCDC Nasarawa State Command, pledging to deliver on the Corps’ core mandate of protecting lives, property, and national assets.
