NSCDC Kano Detains Five Suspected Vandals Following Joint Operation with Customs

Under the leadership of the new Kano State NSCDC Commandant, Bala Bawa Bodinga, the fight against vandalism is intensifying. Five suspected vandals, accused of stealing millions of Naira worth of armoured electricity cables, have been taken into custody by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano Command.

The suspects were initially arrested by the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Kano/Jigawa Area Command along the Ringim-Hadejia road in Jigawa State and were formally handed over to the NSCDC for further investigation and prosecution.

Upon receiving the suspects at the Customs House, Commandant Bodinga commended the Customs Area Comptroller for the exemplary collaboration and cooperation between the two agencies. He emphasized that such partnerships are vital to addressing security challenges in Kano and across Nigeria.

Commandant Bodinga assured that the suspects would face the full weight of the law following the conclusion of the investigation.
