Bala Bodinga Takes Over As New Kano NSCDC Commandant; Orders 24-Hour Patrols To Protect Critical Infrastructure

Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga has been appointed as the new State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano Command. An indigene of Bodinga, Sokoto State, Commandant Bodinga brings extensive experience from various strategic roles across Nigeria.

Born on February 7, 1973, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hausa Language from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and has completed numerous local and international security and leadership courses. His expertise includes civil-military coordination, emergency management, cybersecurity, and intelligence operations.

Before Kano, Commandant Bodinga served in key positions such as Chief Security Officer for various federal agencies, Head of Surveillance units, and Divisional Officer in FCT and other states. He also briefly led the Kebbi State Command before a national appointment.

Upon assuming office, Commandant Bodinga ordered immediate 24-hour patrols and surveillance of Kano’s critical national assets and infrastructure to prevent vandalism and criminal activities. He urged officers to renew their commitment to protecting the state’s security and public safety.
