The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on Thursday, inspected cutting-edge intelligence installations in Idu Community, Abuja, as part of efforts to deepen intelligence-driven policing in Nigeria.
The inspection also marked a strategic collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and indigenous security firm, EIB STRATOC, aimed at strengthening the nation’s security architecture.
The IGP was accompanied by senior officers, including DIG Ben Nebeolisa Okolo (Force Intelligence Department), DIG Adebowale Williams (ICT), AIG Adeleke Taiwo (Operations), and CP Felix Obe (Federal Operations).
Egbetokun emphasized that intelligence gathering remains the backbone of effective policing in the 21st century. He noted that the Force, under his leadership, is committed to leveraging technology, innovation, and both local and international expertise to counter emerging threats.
He stressed that the partnership with EIB STRATOC would not only enhance operational efficiency but also boost public trust and foster stronger collaboration with stakeholders across the security sector.
Commending the expertise of EIB STRATOC, the IGP urged other security experts and Nigerians to support the Police and other security agencies in advancing technology-driven intelligence gathering for improved internal security and national stability.
