EID PRAYER: NSCDC JIGAWA COMMANDANT BALA BAWA BODINGA PERFORMS EID PRAYER ALONGSIDE JIGAWA STATE GOVERNOR AND EMIR OF DUTSE

The Jigawa State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, joined the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, His Excellency Malam Umar Namadi, and the Emir of Dutse, His Royal Highness Hamim Muhammad Nuhu Sanusi, to observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayer in Dutse, the state capital.

The prayer session, which took place at the Central Eid Ground, witnessed the presence of top government functionaries, traditional rulers, security heads, and thousands of Muslim faithful who gathered in unity to mark the significant Islamic celebration.

Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga emphasized the importance of peace, unity, and inter-agency collaboration during festive periods.

He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property throughout the Sallah celebration, with over 1,350 personnel deployed across the 27 Local Government Areas of the state to maintain law and order.

He said, “The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps is fully committed to providing adequate security and intelligence coverage across all prayer grounds, markets, motor parks, and other public places. Our personnel, including specialized units such as the Counter-Terrorism Squad, Rapid Response Team, Intelligence Department, and Disaster Management Unit, are actively on the ground to ensure a peaceful Eid celebration.”

The Executive Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, commended the professionalism of the NSCDC and other sister agencies for their dedication to securing the state during critical periods. Similarly, the Emir of Dutse expressed satisfaction with the Corps’ visible presence and prayed for continued peace and prosperity in the state and the nation.

The Eid celebration was peaceful across Jigawa State with no record of security breaches, thanks to the synergy between security agencies and the support of the public.
