EID-EL-KABIR: KATSINA NSCDC DEPLOYS 2100 PERSONNEL, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO PROTECTING CRITICAL NATIONAL ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE

In his commitment to maintain law and order before, during and after the Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,(NSCDC) Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad deployed 2100 personnel for the maintenance of peace and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures across the State.

Commandant Ahmad made this known in a brief management meeting after presenting the Operational Order on Tuesday 3rd June, 2025 at the State Command Headquarters Katsina, Katsina State. Ahmad emphasized the commitments of the Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to safety, Security and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures in the country.He further emphasized the employment of varied strategies to include intensive surveillance, gathering credible intelligence, community engagement, collaboration and synergy with other security agencies among others.

The Corps Helmsman in the State prayed for Peace and progress of the State and the country as a whole.He also extended his heartfelt felicitations to His Excellency Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Their Royal Highnesses, Emir of Katsina and Daura, Alh.(Dr.) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman CFR, Alh (Dr.) Umar Faruq Umar and the good people of Katsina State for the Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration.

The operational order provided strategic deployment including Emir’s Palace Kofar Soro in Katsina and Kangiwa in Daura Emirate, Central mosques in Katsina, Daura and other praying grounds across the State . Personnel were also detailed and deployed for Hawan Bariki in all the relevant locations in both Katsina and Daura Emirates.Deployments of both covert and overt personnel were also made in all the 34 LGAs of the state and in the relevant facilities belonging to LGAs, State and Federal Government.

The State NSCDC Boss tasked the relevant Heads of Departments and Units,Area Commanders, Divisional Officers,Unit Commanders, OC Outposts and Special Forces to ensure well coordination and proper patrolling to provide watertight Security in the State.

The State Commandant further charged personnel for professionalism, commitments and dedication to duty.
“Personnel deployed must be very professional and synergize with other security agencies to ensure hitch free Sallah celebration” the Commandant reiterated

Commandant Ahmad also called on the good people of Katsina State to be law abiding and wished for a hitch free Sallah celebration
