COMMANDANT AKINSOLA CELEBRATES GOVERNOR OTTI’S SECOND ANNIVERSARY, REAFFIRMS NSCDC’S COMMITMENT TO SECURITY IN ABIA

The Abia State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Akinsola Aderemi, joined other dignitaries at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Thursday 29th May 2025 to mark the second anniversary of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, as Governor of Abia State.

The event, which drew government officials, security chiefs, and members of the public, featured a ceremonial parade led by the Nigeria Police Force. Held under the theme “Two Years of Transformation: Sustaining the Momentum,” the celebration reflected on the governor’s accomplishments and the administration’s forward-looking agenda.

While commenting on the sidelines of the event, Commandant Akinsola commended Governor Otti for his leadership and support for the state’s security architecture.

In his words, “We’ve seen firsthand how committed the Governor is to the safety and well-being of Abians. From strengthening inter-agency cooperation to investing in logistics and infrastructure, his approach has made a real difference. The NSCDC remains fully committed to partnering with the state government to maintain that momentum.”

The Commandant also congratulated Governor Otti on reaching the two-year milestone, which he described as a testament to the trust and confidence of the people.

“I join others in wishing His Excellency continued success. We look forward to even greater progress in the years ahead,” he added.

The occasion was well attended by top government functionaries, heads of security agencies, traditional leaders, and residents, all of whom came together to celebrate the Governor’s efforts.
