It is a great honour for me to deliver these opening remarks on behalf of the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni, OFR, at this important training programme for the Agro Rangers Personnel of the Plateau State Command.
The Commandant General extends his warm greetings and deep appreciation to all participants and stakeholders who have made this training possible. He also expresses his profound gratitude to His Excellency Caleb Manassa Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, for his unwavering support and commitment to the success of this programme. The Governor’s active role in facilitating and supporting the organization of this training underscores his dedication to peace, security, and agricultural development in the state.
This training underscores the Corps ongoing commitment to enhance its personnel’s capacity, boost operational efficiency, and safeguard the farmers and agro-allied investments. In line with the Commandant General’s vision, the Agro Rangers are a crucial element of the NSCDC strategy to reduce conflicts in farming communities and protect food production zones nationwide.
To the participants, it’s crucial to approach this training with seriousness. The security challenges in our rural and agricultural communities require knowledge, discipline, and strategic engagement. Let this training provide you with not only tactical skills but also a deeper understanding of community relations, intelligence gathering, and conflict resolution.
Once again, I express my appreciation to His Excellency, the executive Governor of Plateau State, for his ongoing partnership with NSCDC and for prioritizing the security of the agricultural sector. I also acknowledge the efforts of the Plateau State Commandant and all facilitators who have contributed to this programme.
On behalf of the Commandant General, I hereby declare the training open.
