Commandant Ishaku Musa, head of the Plateau Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has urged residents of Plateau State to go about their legitimate businesses without fear of being harassed or molested by any agents of insecurity. He emphasized that all necessary security modalities had been put in place by the NSCDC in collaboration with other security agencies to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free environment for all law-abiding citizens in the state.
Commandant Musa gave the assurance after a crucial security meeting held at the Command Headquarters in Jos last weekend.
He stated that the purpose of the meeting was to appraise the current situation, take stock, and further consolidate on the security strategies that have helped curb recent insecurity challenges in the state.
“We have analyzed the available intelligence, and I can assure you that there is no cause for alarm. Let people go about their legitimate businesses. I have reinforced our intelligence network and reaffirmed our unreserved commitment to providing a peaceful environment for the safety of lives and property.” Commandant Musa stated.
While expressing gratitude to Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi for his support to the Command, Commandant Musa also thanked the general public for providing useful information that has contributed to improved security in the state.
He advised residents to remain law-abiding at all times.
