BREAKING: Nigerian Army Locked in ‘Fierce Battle’ With Terrorists in Yobe

Troops of the Nigerian Army are currently engaged in a fierce gun battle with terrorists in Buni Gari, a town in Yobe State.

The clash involves soldiers from Operation HADIN KAI and fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), who launched an attack on the town on Saturday.

The Nigerian Army shared the news in a short update on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.

The statement read, “Troops of Operation HADIN KAI currently in a fierce battle against ISWAP attack at Buni Gari, Yobe State. Details later.”
