NSCDC CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Visits Kano Command Tasks NSCDC’s Officers, Men To Be Loyal, Concentrate On Core Mandates

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command has had an august visitor, our amiable and indefatigable Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi.

The number one civil defender in the country was received on arrival in the state by the Zone 12, Zonal Commander, ACG Amos Abiodun Taiwo, the NSCDC state Commandant, Kano command, Comdt Shafi’u Abdulmumini and the management staff of the command.

The Commandant General delivered a well articulated speech to the entire staff of the command noting the herculean and mundane task saddled onto the Corps by the federal government.

He tasked officers and men to brace up and pay more attention to protecting critical national assets and infrastructure. ” It’s our job to protect critical national assets and infrastructure from being vandalized, that alone is enough. Concentrate on doing your main job, if it’s a critical asset case you arrest, you can investigate and then prosecute. Cases that are not within your purview when arrested you can investigate and later handover to the appropriate agency.” the CG directed.

The Corps helmsman in the country, harped on importance of synergy and collaboration among sister security agencies and the need on good citizens to volunteer useful information to security agents, ” All stakeholders including citizens must work together and synergize. That’s where the 3 Cs come: coordination, cooperation and collaboration. These are very important and central. These shouldn’t be left on security agencies alone, it should be a collaborative efforts by all citizens”, the Commandant General said.

The CG revealed that been highly operational, he made it a habit to be visiting NSCDC formations particularly state commands to interact with personnel ” I’m out in my capacity as the Commandant General to visit all my formations as a periodic operational tour to see what’s happening, discuss with my personnel, share ideas and challenges so that together we marshall out strategies on how to cope with those challenges”, the CG stated.

The Commandant General further warned officers and men to desist from indulging in fraudulent act, maintaining that the Corps is now poised and very serious in taking action on personnel who have fraudulent behaviors, ” Don’t involve yourselves in fraud, collecting money in the name of finding employment for people, for now we’re not recruiting, be warned. The CG will always protect and defend those that have good behavior, and I pray in Sha Allah our Corps will go very far”, the CG concluded.

Before the Commandant General leaves Kano for Katsina where he’s billed to attend an occasion, he also visited the NSCDC’s Zone 12, Zonal Command in Kano where he had an interaction with the Zonal Commander, ACG Amos Abiodun and his management.
