Easter: NSCDC Deploys 1000 Operatives In Ekiti

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State command, has deployed 1,000 men and officers to places of worship and other strategic locations across the state to maintain water-tight security and protection of critical national assets before, during and after the Easter celebrations.

The state commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Toma Enya, who gave the figure in his office,assured Ekiti people of adequate security and prompt response to distress calls.

He said the officers would work at churches, places of relaxation as well as identify black spots to prevent possible breakdown of law and order.

He warned that there would be zero tolerance for any person or group capable of causing disharmony or breach of the peace in the state.
