EASTER: LAGOS NSCDC VOWS TO PROTECT CRITICAL ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE.

Lagos State Commandant deploys 2, 250 officers and men to strategic locations and points …

Consequent upon the Federal Government’s declaration of Friday, 18th and Monday, 21st April 2025, as Public Holidays, by the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji – Ojo, to mark this year’s Good Friday and Easter celebration, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro has once again re – affirmed, the Command’s commitment to protect all critical national assets and infrastructure in the state across all sectors of the nation’s economy.

The Lagos State Commandant has also immediately, deployed, two thousand, two hundred and fifty ( 2,250 ) officers and men to ensure adequate security and the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure in the state. The State Commandant disclosed that it was important to ensure speedy deployment of security personnel during such kind of celebrations.

The Lagos State Commandant while addressing officers and men from various departments, units and tactical squads today, Thursday, 17th April, 2025 stated that operational strategies have been re – invigorated to rid the state of criminals and eradicate the nefarious activities of vandals and other criminal elements that could be inimical to its economic growth and development especially, at this crucial season and after.

The Command will also be collaborating with other sister security agencies, across the state, to achieve optimal success at this crucial period.

Officers and men of the Command have also been charged, to bring the right and appropriate impetus on board to protect all strategic locations, points, facilities, right of ways, oil pipeline installations, religious and worship centres, parks and gardens and all assets belonging to the Federal, State and Local Governments of Nigeria, in the state,
before, during and after the celebration.

The Lagos State Command has assured all the good people of the state that it will not also rest on its oarse at this period but rather deploy both physical and non – physical assets; robust intelligence gathering, intensive patrols – physical and psychological, crime prevention mechanisms, Special responses by Special Female Squad ( SFS ), Quick Intervention Squad approach (QIS) and collective security approach, to ensure a holistic security and safety during and after the celebration.

The Lagos State Commandant has also seized, the celebration to congratulate the Christian faithfuls, in the state and admonished all to imbibe the tenets of our Lord Jesus Christ, which characterize this season such as; love, sacrifice, passion, humility, tolerance amongst others.
