Delta NSCDC Commandant, Mathew Sunday Ovye Praises Audi’s Leadership At NSCDC, Describes It As ‘Most Pleasant, Highly Result-Oriented’

The Delta State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mathew Sunday Ovye, has described the leadership era of the incumbent Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, as highly result-oriented—not only for the civil populace of Nigerians but also for the well-being of Corps members. He emphasized that the NSCDC could not have had a better leader in the last four years of Dr. Audi’s tenure, considering the revolutionary changes he has spearheaded since assuming office four years ago.

Commandant Ovye stated this shortly after he was presented with a copy of the 4th edition of CG Audi’s 787-page yearly compendium of achievements at a colourful ceremony at the State Command Headquarters in Asaba, Delta State early last week.

“If truth must be reckoned with, we are living witnesses to the revolutionary changes that his leadership has brought to the Corps over the past four years. His administration has, in several aspects, helped to reposition the NSCDC from its doldrums, especially in the area of personnel welfare, which has served as an impetus for improved service delivery across the board. For instance, in my case, I was stagnant on a salary even after four promotions. When CG Audi assumed office, he rectified all the anomalies, not only in my case but for the entire Corps members, resolving issues that had lingered for years. All these serve as our motivating spirit at the Delta Command, where we remain ardent followers and believers in his worthy mission for the NSCDC,” Commandant Ovye said.

“Today, we are respected and trusted by Nigerians on account of the sterling leadership of Dr. Audi, which he has imbued in all of us. We are ethically compliant, and it is rare to hear any negative stories about our operatives. Our service delivery ability is superb, with thorough compliance to our statutory mandate,” Commandant Ovye further stated.
