Security Monitor yesterday at the Akwa Ibom NSCDC Command

Akwa Ibom State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence
Corps, Bashaar Hussein, has affirmed that the efficient and competent
intelligence network conceptualised by Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi,
Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,
across all State NSCDC Commands, serves as a cardinal foundation for
achieving and maintaining security in Akwa Ibom State.

He noted that such intelligence-gathering measures have been
instrumental in thwarting incidents that could have escalated security
challenges in the state.

Speaking shortly after receiving a copy of CG Audi’s 787-page
compendium of achievements from its author, Isiaka Mustapha,
CEO/Editor-in-Chief of People’s Security Monitor, Commandant Hussein
described CG Audi as a divine and timely gift to the NSCDC, designed
and packaged by God to save the organization in its precarious
moments.

He emphasised that, apart from CG Audi’s initiated valid intelligence
network, his leadership has introduced numerous innovations that have
indeed fortified the NSCDC ahead of time.

“Let me say, without fear of contradiction, that the NSCDC in Akwa
Ibom State has remained a consistently result-oriented security
agency, excelling in all areas of its statutory mandate. We have
thoroughly explored the best practices in intelligence gathering,
which continue to prevent insecurity and mitigate any form of threat
to the well-being of the state. Furthermore, we have maximized our
prosecutorial mandate to ensure that all actionable cases are taken to
the court of law for proper legal prosecution.

Our personnel have undergone continuous training and retraining,
significantly boosting their capacity. The truth is, we couldn’t have
achieved this level of success without the exceptional leadership of
the NSCDC. The Commandant General is not resting on his laurels, and
it has been a series of remarkable achievements throughout.” said
Commandant Hussein.
