
In his commitments to maintain law and order before, during and after the Eid-el-fitr Sallah celebration, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,(NSCDC) Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad deployed 2160 personnel for the maintenance of peace and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures across the State.
Commandant Ahmad made this known while issuing the Operational Order on Thursday 27th March , 2025 at the State Command Headquarters Katsina, Katsina State.In a brief meeting with the Management team, Ahmad emphasized the commitments of the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi to safety, Security and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures in the country.He further pointed on the reviewed strategies to include intensive surveillance, gathering credible intelligence, community engagement, collaboration and synergy with other security agencies among others.
In his remarks, Ahmad prayed for Peace and progress of the State and the country as a whole.He also extended his heartfelt felicitations to His Excellency Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda Governor of Katsina State, Their Royal Highnesses, Emir of Katsina and Daura, Alh. Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, Alh Umar Faruq Umar CON and the good people of Katsina State for the forth coming Eid-el-fitr Sallah celebration.
The operational order provided strategic deployment including Emir’s Palace Kofar Soro in Katsina and Kangiwa in Daura Emirate, Central mosques in Katsina, Daura and other eid grounds across the State . Personnel were also detailed and deployed for Hawan Bariki in all the relevant locations in both Katsina and Daura Emirates.Deployments of both covert and overt personnel were also made in all the 34 LGAs of the state and in the relevant facilities belonging to LGAs, State and Federal Government.
The State Commandant tasked the relevant Heads of Departments and Units,Area Commanders, Divisional Officers,Unit Commanders, OC Outposts and Special Forces to ensure well coordination and proper patrolling to provide watertight Security in the State.
The State NSCDC Boss further charged personnel for professionalism, commitments and dedication to duty.
“Personnel deployed must be very professional and synergize with other security agencies to ensure hitch free Sallah celebration” the Comdnt. stated
Ahmad enjoined the general public to be more vigilant and report any suspicions movements of persons or items to the nearest office.
