Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas sword in as Rivers Administrator

Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas (rtd.), CFR, was officially sworn in this afternoon as the Administrator of Rivers State for the next six months during a ceremony at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

His appointment follows the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, by the Federal Government, which led to the suspension of the governor, deputy governor, and members of the State House of Assembly for six months.
