GOMBE NSCDC STATE COMMAND COMMEMORATES INTERNATIONAL CIVIL DEFENCE DAY

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command has celebrated International Civil Defence Day with a series of activities. The event started at 6:30 am with a speech by the State Commandant, CC Gyama Gyawiya, who addressed Officers and Men at 7:00 am.
CC, Gyama emphasized the importance of civil defence in ensuring security and highlighted the NSCDC’s mission to protect lives, property, and critical assets. He stressed that security is the foundation of a progressive society, and without it, development is hindered, economic growth stagnates, and social harmony is disrupted.
The State Commandant reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to excellence, professionalism, and patriotism, urging officers to uphold values of integrity, discipline, and service to humanity.
The celebration included a fitness walk from the Command State Headquarters to the Emir’s palace, where CC Gyama addressed the press on the significance of the celebration. He appreciated the State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for donating three Hilux utility vehicles to boost operational activities of the Command. He also thanked the people of the state for their trust and support.
