
In pursuit of the express charge of the Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD., mni, OFR, of boosting the nation’s oil production and economy, through engaging multidimensional approach such as inter agency collaboration towards the fight against oil pipeline vandalism and all forms of economic sabotage in the nation, the Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro has affirmed that it was necessary, for his personnel, especially, those on the field, to synergize, with Government and all sister security agencies in the state.
The Lagos State Commandant further said that the uncompromising penchant of the Commandant General for training and retaining of personnel, is no doubt one of the major salient factors responsible for the unflinching, seamless and robust synergy the Corps has with other sister security agencies in the state.
The Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro therefore, revealed, insights into the factors responsible, for the operational and administrative successes, the Command has achieved, so far under his watch as a result of effective collaboration with the Government of Lagos State, under the able leadership of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo – Olu.
The Lagos State Commandant stated that the Operational successes made by the Command across the state, in the previous year 2024, such as apprehension of railway vandals, oil thieves and vandals, illegal miners, gender and sexual based violence related offenders and many others who were investigated and prosecuted in court accordingly, can be attributed, to the harmonious working relationship of the Command with other sister security agencies and the good people of the state .
The Lagos State Commandant further said that the Command maintains quality relationship with Ministries and Parastatals, Traditional Institutions, Religious Institutions, Private Sector, Members of the Armed Forces; Army, Navy and Airforce, the Nigeria Police Force ( NPF ), the Department of State Security ( DSS ), the Nigeria Correctional Service ( NCoS ), the Nigeria Immigration Service ( NIS ), the Federal Fire Service ( FFS ), the Nigeria Customs Service ( NCS ), the Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC ) and many others in the state.
The Lagos State Commandant disclosed, the above during an official engagement with the Head of Lagos Office ( HLO ), News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN ), Mr Adeleye Ajayi and other members of his team, which include; Heads of Editorial Operations, Defence and Security Desk amongst others in his office, in Alahusa, Ikeja, yesterday, Tuesday, 25th February, 2025.
The HLO, NAN, Mr Adeleye Ajayi noded, the NSCDC for being proactive and uncontroversial in its operations and communication to the good people of Lagos state. He further said that NAN is proud of the efforts of the command so far in combatting economic saboteurs and oil thieves in the state. The HLO however, charged, the command to do more in ensuring that lives, property, public and private assets and infrastructure in the state, remains peaceful, safe and secured.
The Command will not relent in its efforts to continue to admonish its personnel on the need for them to inhibit and display good conduct, professionalism and discipline in their various operations across the state.
