CIC VISITS COMMAND ENGINEERING DEPOT, ASSURES THE COMMAND OF INFANTRY SUPPORT

The Commander Infantry Corps (CIC) Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim OFR has assured the Commander Command Engineering Depot ( CCED) of the Infantry Corps’ support. Major General Ibrahim gave the assurance on Tuesday 25 February 2025 during the familiarization visit to the Command Engineering Depot (CED).

The CIC commended the efforts of the CCED Major General Babatunde Alaya for his contributions to the successes recorded in various theatres of operations, urging him to keep working hard.

Major General Ibrahim acknowledged the CED’s frontline support to the troops, describing the Command as a leader of Research and Development, promising to take the challenges observed during the visit to the Appropriate Superior Authority (ASA) for further support.

The CIC further encouraged the CCED not to give up on the production of drones and other innovations., urging the CCED to ensure that the ongoing renovations carried out by the Command are not deterred as it would be useful for the ASA’s future plans.

Highlights of the visit were the brief on the activities of the CED delivered by the CCED, tour of the facilities and exchange of souvenirs between the CIC and the CCED.

In another development, the CIC Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim OFR has advised the outgone Chief of Staff (COS) Headquarters Infantry Corps Centre (HQ ICC) Brigadier General KU Sidi to. work closely with other security agencies in his next tour of duty.

The CIC gave the advice during the send off ceremony organized in honour of the outgone COS on Tuesday 25 February 2025 at the Conference Room of the HQ ICC.

Major General Ibrahim enjoined the outgone COS to be professional while carrying out his duty and keep working hard, emphasizing that there is a reward for hard work.

He thanked the outgone COS for his contributions to the Corps, wishing him all the best in his next assignment.

In his vote of thanks, Brigadier General KU Sidi appreciated the CIC for his guidance, saying it is gratifying working with the CIC.

The outgone COS promised to make the Corps proud and also to continue tapping from the CIC’s wealth of experience.

Highlights of the send off ceremony were the presentation of the plaque to the outgone COS by the CIC and taking the group photograph.
