KATSINA NSCDC REPELS BANDIT ATTACKS AT FUDMA PARMANENT SITE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SPECIAL GRAINS RESERVE DARAWA, DUTSINMA LGA, KATSINA ,

Today, we are delighted to share some of the recent commendable achievements made by the command under the able leadership of Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad fsf, MADM, who is committed to the safety and Security for the good people of Katsina State as well as executing other mandate of NSCDC in the State.

The Katsina Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) repelled the attacks of suspected armed bandits who stormed the parmanent site of the Federal University Dutsanma (FUDMA ) and Federal Government Special Grains Reserve (Silo) in Darawa Dutsanma Local Government Area of Katsina State, on Friday 21st and Sunday 23rd February, 2025.

The gallant men of NSCDC attached to the parmanent site of the university successful neutralized 3 of the criminals including a notorious Ayuba Buzaru who stormed the institution as their routes around 0200hrs.The team further rescued 3 kidnapped victims including Jafaru Alh. Bawa, ‘M’ 52 years, Delu Alh Amadu ‘F’ 40 years, Huzaifa (alias Zulai) Alh Bawa ‘F’ 37year and some goats.

In another development, the Agro Ranger operatives deployed to provide maximum security coverage to the Silo and it’s staff jointly with Nigeria Police Force Dutsanma Division responded to armed bandits attack, engaged the bandits who stormed the building in a fierce gun duel

The valiant operatives overpowered the criminals, neutralized one suspected armed bandit while others fled with gunshots wounds.The dead body of the suspected criminal has since been deposited to General hospital Dutsanma.

The armed bandits have been attempting to attack the Silo which is used to store grains being distributed to people of three northern states, including Katsina, Zamfara and Sokoto, while the Command is committed to providing adequate security coverage at the location as directed by the amiable and indefatigable Commandant General A.A Audi PhD, mni, OFR and the office of the national security adviser.

Also the Corps personnel in a joint security operations dispersed another set of suspected armed bandits at Gago Village close to Isah Kaita College of Education in the same Dutsanma LGA of the State.

The Command remains dedicated towards promoting safety and Security for the good people of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole, as well as providing adequate protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.

Commandant Ahmad thanks the general public for the continuous cooperation and urges the public to report any suspect found with gunshots wounds to the nearest office.
