LAGOS NSCDC PRO ATTENDS WOLE SOYINKA CENTRE FOR INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM STAKEHOLDERS’ ENGAGEMENT ON 2023 JOURNALISM AND CIVIC SPACE STATUS REPORT

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro yesterday, Wednesday, 29th January, 2025, approved, the attendance of the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin, to join seasoned academics, journalists, security agencies, judicial and human rights’ experts, civil society and media practitioners, at the recently, concluded, ‘Stakeholders’ Engagement on the 2023 Journalism and Civic Space Status Report,’ organized, by the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism ( WSCIJ ), at Le’ola hotel, Maryland, Ikeja. The Lagos State Commandant lauded, such initiative, which creates opportunities, for collaboration, defence of press freedom, civil engagement and advancement, with the recognition of the immense contributions, of the security architecture in the country.

The above event was convened, by Mrs Motunrayo Alaka, Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer, Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism ( WSCIJ ). Also in attendance included; Professor Abigail Ogwezzy-Ndisika, Professor of Mass Communication, UNILAG, the Executive Editor, TVC News, Mr Kayode Ladehinde, Mr Richard Akinrinola, Mr Mojeed Alabi and Mrs Francis Juliana, Mrs Ebunoluwa Olafusi, amidst many other seasoned, participants.
