COAS COMMISSIONS NEWLY CONSTRUCTED NAOC SOLDIERS’ TRANSIT ACCOMMODATIONS AT HQ NAOC

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General OO Oluyede mni, has urged troops of the Nigerian Army to remain loyal to the constituted authority. He made the assertion today Thursday 16 January 2025 during the commissioning ceremony of a block of 29 flats of Transit Accommodation for soldiers of HQ Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps built by the Corps Commander Ordnance Major General JO Ugwuoke. The COAS who was the special guest of honour at the Occasion was ably represented by the Corps Commander Signals Major General GO Adesina.

In his remarks, the Corps Commander Ordnance Major General JO Ugwuoke stated that the project was a result of his burning desire to provide a conducive living environment for the personnel as a means of mitigating the stress and hardship that personnel encounter daily moving from their various accommodations all over Lagos to Abalti Barracks.

He further thanked the COAS for graciously approving the project and added that the project is in line with the COAS command philosophy and the welfare of troops which remains his topmost priority. He therefore enjoined them to maintain and make good use of the facility.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of keys to the beneficiaries by the SGOH.
Present to grace the event were the GOC 81 Division Nigerian Army Maj Gen FU Miginyawa, Commanders of units and formations within Lagos, serving and retired senior military officers, principal Staff Officers and Directors. Also present were members of the NAOWA and several other distinguished guests.
