People’s Security Monitor Presents, Nigeria’s Chief Of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa With His First-Year Impressive Media Profile

The Editorial Board of the People’s Security Monitor, led by its Editor-in-Chief Isiaka Mustapha, has presented General Christopher Musa with his first-year media profile, as reported by various media outlets in Nigeria and abroad.

The 336-page media compendium highlights virtually all of General Musa’s public engagements, analyses of his leadership by various opinion formers, his immense achievements, and the predominantly positive perception of the Nigerian military under his leadership in the first year of his tenure.

Shortly before the presentation, the helmsman of the People’s Security Monitor, Isiaka Mustapha, described the media compendium as a true reflection of General Musa’s total commitment to achieving adequate security for Nigerians and Nigeria during his first year of stewardship as the military leader under his Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

‘’The contents of the book and, to a large extent, the Nigerian media reflect the immense successes of General Christopher Gwabin Musa’s first year in office as Chief of Defence Staff. It showcases his transformative drive for Nigeria’s military, with a focus on strategic reform, innovative practices, and international collaboration. His adept navigation of Nigeria’s complex security challenges, dedication to human rights, and effective counter-insurgency operations are sufficiently highlighted in the book.

“One of General Musa’s most notable achievements, as stated in the media reports in the book, is the fortification of the military’s counter-insurgency operations, particularly in the fight against Boko Haram and other extremist groups under General Musa’s leadership, with impressive successful operations, the military has recaptured territories previously occupied by insurgents, destroyed their enclaves, and considerably reduced their ranks.’’ Mustapha said.

In his remarks, General Musa thanked the editorial board of the People’s Security Monitor for their keen and patriotic commitment to the national security of Nigeria, emphasizing the need for more support and synergy between Nigerians and their military.

‘We must take this as a collective battle to return the peace and tranquility we grew up with in Nigeria; we can’t afford to shy away from our responsibility to protect our dear nation. As for the military, I can assure you that Nigeria will remain a safe haven in all ramifications, and on a very sincere note, we are totally committed to this noble cause, I can assure Nigerians.’’  General Musa said.
