16 VILLAGERS KIDNAPPED WITH TWO ESCAPEES AS BANDITS RAID A COMMUNITY IN KADUNA OVERNIGHT.

A quiet night turned into chaos in Mararraba Mazuga village, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as bandits launched a violent attack, abducting 16 people.

The attack occurred between 11 p.m. and midnight, leaving the community in disarray.

According to a resident, Wayas Musa, two victims managed to escape, while seven others were later released by the kidnappers to go and gather ransom for the remaining hostages.

Among those released was Na’omi Kayit, who disclosed that her two daughters remain in captivity.

One of the daughters is a student at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, while the other studies on scholarship in Togo and was home on break.

As of now, the kidnappers have not contacted the victims’ families to demand ransom.

Efforts to reach the Kaduna State Police Command for comment were unsuccessful, as the Public Relations Officer, ASP Munsir Hassan, was unreachable at the time of reporting.
