Nigerian Army awards scholarship to Unilesa student

Nigerian Army has awarded a full scholarship to Miss Christianah Obadare

The Nigerian Army has awarded a full scholarship to Miss Christianah Obadare, a student in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ilesa, Osun State, under the Chief of Army Staff Special Scholarship Scheme.

According to a statement issued by the university’s Registrar, Funso Ojo, the scholarship was presented by Major General O.O. Onubogu of the 2 Division Headquarters, Nigerian Army, Ojoo, Ibadan.

The presentation took place in the presence of the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Asaolu, and other principal officers of the institution. 

The scholarship will cover Miss Obadare’s education until graduation.

“Major General Onubogu disclosed that the scholarship was part of the Nigerian Army’s contributions to the development of quality education in Nigeria and an additional effort to support the initiative of the Federal Government on NELFUND. 

“Prof. Asaolu, in his response, commended the Nigerian Army for the well thought-out initiative, which he said would promote academic excellence.
