The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has expressed the Nigeria Police Force’s condolences to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) following the tragic crash involving NAF 931 aircraft, which reportedly claimed 25 lives.Disu conveyed the Force’s sympathy during a condolence visit to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal S.K. Aneke, on Friday, 9 October 2026.
During the visit, the IGP extended his condolences to the leadership, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of the victims who lost their lives in the tragic incident.
He expressed solidarity with the Air Force at this difficult time, acknowledging the profound loss suffered by the military institution and the bereaved families.
The police chief also offered prayers for strength, comfort and fortitude for the families, colleagues and associates of the deceased as they come to terms with the tragedy.The Nigeria Police Force reaffirmed its solidarity with the Nigerian Air Force, paying tribute to the deceased and recognising their service and sacrifice to the nation.
