The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command, Commandant Oluyemi Joshua Ibiloye, JP, has reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving transportation safety and traffic management across the state.Commandant Ibiloye made the pledge while receiving the Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Transport, Hon. Olumuyiwa Ogunyemi, during a courtesy visit to the Command headquarters.The visit provided an avenue for discussions on areas of mutual interest, including transportation management, traffic control, public safety and strategies for enhancing service delivery to residents of the state.Speaking during the meeting, Hon. Ogunyemi briefed the Commandant on the Ondo State Government’s new policy direction for the transportation sector, highlighting efforts to strengthen traffic management and address emerging challenges affecting the sector.In his response, Commandant Ibiloye expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the state government’s commitment to improving the transportation system. He assured the Special Adviser of the Command’s readiness to collaborate with relevant agencies and stakeholders in promoting public safety and order.The NSCDC chief further stressed the importance of sustained inter agency and government collaboration, noting that collective efforts remain essential to achieving a safer, more orderly and efficient transportation environment across Ondo State.
