NDLEA, NSCDC Deepen Security Collaboration in Ebonyi
The newly deployed Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Ebonyi State, CN Abua John Oshie, has paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) State Command Headquarters in Abakaliki, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening inter agency cooperation and enhancing joint efforts against crime and insecurity in the state.
Upon his arrival at the NSCDC Headquarters, the NDLEA Commander was accorded a ceremonial Quarter Guard reception, underscoring the cordial relationship and mutual respect that exist between the two security agencies.
CN Oshie and his delegation were received by the Ebonyi State Commandant of the NSCDC, CC Francis Chika Nnadi, JP, who warmly welcomed the NDLEA team and commended the longstanding partnership between the agencies.
Speaking during the visit, the NDLEA Commander stressed the critical role of collaboration among security and law enforcement agencies in addressing contemporary security challenges. He highlighted the need for robust intelligence sharing, coordinated operations and strategic partnerships in combating illicit drug trafficking and other criminal activities.
He expressed his determination to build on the existing relationship between the NDLEA and NSCDC, noting that greater synergy would enhance the effectiveness of both agencies in safeguarding lives and property across Ebonyi State.
In his response, Commandant Francis Chika Nnadi congratulated CN Oshie on his deployment and assured him of the NSCDC’s unwavering support and cooperation. He reiterated the Command’s commitment to working closely with the NDLEA and other security stakeholders to strengthen the state’s security architecture.
According to the Commandant, sustained intelligence sharing, joint operations and regular inter agency engagements remain indispensable tools in tackling emerging security threats and preserving peace, law and order.
A major highlight of the visit was the exchange of plaques between the leadership of the NSCDC and NDLEA in Ebonyi State, symbolising the enduring partnership, mutual respect and shared commitment of both agencies to advancing public safety and security.
The visit concluded with both organisations reaffirming their resolve to deepen operational synergy, strengthen collaborative frameworks and continue working together towards ensuring a safer, more secure and crime free Ebonyi State.
