The Editor-in-Chief of People’s Security Monitor, Isiaka Mustapha, has held a strategic engagement with the Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Samuel Adeyemi Olumode, in Abuja, in a move aimed at strengthening collaboration between the media and emergency response agency.
The meeting focused on enhancing public awareness of fire prevention, emergency response protocols, and the role of the Federal Fire Service in safeguarding lives and property across the country.
Mustapha commended the leadership of CG Olumode for what he described as improved efficiency, professionalism, and modernization efforts within the Fire Service, especially in the areas of rapid response and public sensitisation.
He noted that the media remains a critical partner in national security architecture, stressing the need for continuous engagement between security agencies and the press to ensure accurate information dissemination and improved public trust.
In his remarks, Samuel Adeyemi Olumode welcomed the engagement, describing the media as an essential stakeholder in emergency management and national safety education, particularly in reaching communities at the grassroots level.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to sustained collaboration aimed at improving emergency response systems, promoting safety culture, and supporting national efforts to reduce fire-related incidents across the country.
