BRIG. GEN. S.S. AHMED ASSUMES COMMAND OF SECTOR 3 OPHK/MNJTF IN MONGUNO


In a colourful and dignified ceremony marked by military tradition, S.S. Ahmed officially assumed command of Headquarters Sector 3, Operation HADIN KAI and the Multinational Joint Task Force in Monguno, taking over from S.S. Tilawan.
The event symbolised a significant leadership transition within the formation and was attended by senior military officers, personnel, and other dignitaries.
In his farewell address, Major General S.S. Tilawan expressed deep appreciation to officers and soldiers for their unwavering loyalty, support, and dedication throughout his tenure as Sector Commander. He noted that the operational successes recorded during his leadership were achieved through teamwork, commitment, and collective sacrifice by troops of the Sector.
The outgoing commander urged personnel to remain committed to the objectives of the operation and to extend maximum cooperation and support to the new commander in order to sustain the operational gains and progress already achieved.
In his remarks, Brigadier General S.S. Ahmed paid glowing tribute to his predecessor for his exemplary leadership, strategic direction, and invaluable contributions to the growth and effectiveness of the formation.
He pledged to build on the solid foundation already established, while emphasizing professionalism, discipline, operational efficiency, and the welfare of troops under his command.
The new Sector Commander also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening ongoing counterinsurgency operations and enhancing collaboration among troops and allied security stakeholders in the fight against terrorism and other security threats within the theatre of operations.
The ceremony concluded with the inspection of the Quarter Guard and group photographs, symbolising a seamless and orderly transfer of leadership within Sector 3 Operation HADIN KAI/MNJTF, Monguno.
