The Federal Fire Service, Kwara State Command, under the leadership of State Controller ACF Mary Bakare, on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, participated in the 4th Biennial International Conference organised by the Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences, University of Ilorin, in collaboration with the Faculty of Philology, RUDN University.
Representatives of the Command joined the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, who delivered the keynote address at the conference.
The conference, themed “Disruptive Technology: Human and Artificial Intelligence in the Digital Economy,” was held at the Main Auditorium of the University of Ilorin. The event brought together experts, academics, security professionals, and stakeholders from various sectors to examine the impact of emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation on governance, communication, security, and economic development.
State Controller ACF Mary Bakare was represented at the conference by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSF Modibbo Jimoh Ibrahim, MSc, ANIPR.
The participation of the Kwara State Command at the international conference reflects the Service’s commitment to professional development, inter agency collaboration, and the adoption of innovative strategies aimed at strengthening public safety and improving service delivery.
