NSCDC Delta Command Strengthens Operations With Advanced Technology Deployment

By Jackson Ehime, Asaba

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Delta State Command, has reinforced its commitment to improved operational efficiency and effective service delivery through the deployment of advanced technological equipment to key departments and operational units within the Command.

The State Commandant, Chinedu Igbo, disclosed this during a strategic meeting with Heads of Departments and Units at the Command Headquarters in Asaba. During the session, the Commandant officially presented modern workstations and other digital equipment to officers overseeing critical departments and operational formations, particularly within the core directorates of the Command.

Commandant Chinedu Igbo explained that the initiative aligns with the reform driven leadership agenda of the Commandant General of NSCDC, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, focused on repositioning the Corps through innovation, technology based policing, and globally recognised security management practices.

He stated that the deployment of the equipment is expected to enhance productivity, strengthen intelligence gathering and analysis, improve data management processes, and support more coordinated responses to emerging security threats and other criminal activities across the state.

The Commandant urged officers and beneficiaries of the equipment to improve their technical capacity and maximise the use of the technology for effective intelligence collection, processing, analysis, and operational deployment.

He further disclosed that the next phase of the deployment programme would extend to Area Commands, Divisions, and Tactical Units across Delta State as part of sustained efforts to reposition the Corps for modern security operations and increased operational responsibilities.

The Command reaffirmed its commitment to professionalism, technological advancement, and efficient service delivery in the protection of lives, property, and critical national assets and infrastructure across Delta State.
