NSCDC Delta Strengthens Operational Capacity with Refurbishment of Additional Patrol Vehicle

The Delta State Command of the the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has recorded another milestone in its efforts to strengthen operational efficiency with the successful refurbishment of an additional operational vehicle for field activities across the state.

Since assuming office on 25 August 2025 as the 17th substantive State Commandant, Commandant Chinedu Ibo has continued to address several operational challenges confronting the Command, particularly the shortage of operational vehicles required for effective patrol, rapid response, and protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.

The newly refurbished vehicle, photographs of which are attached, is the fourth operational vehicle successfully restored under the present administration. The development is part of ongoing efforts aimed at improving mobility, boosting personnel morale, and enhancing the Command’s capacity to respond promptly to security situations across Delta State.

Commandant Chinedu noted that the achievement was made possible through selfless leadership, dedication to duty, prudent management of available resources, and the support of friends of the Corps who remain committed to the advancement of the Command’s operational objectives.

He further stated that the Command would continue to prioritise professionalism, discipline, and operational readiness in line with the vision of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, whose leadership and reforms have continued to reposition the Corps for greater service delivery nationwide.

The State Commandant also commended officers and men of the Command for their resilience, loyalty, and commitment despite operational constraints, assuring that more welfare and logistics improvements would be pursued to support effective service delivery.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Delta State Command to sustaining proactive security measures, strategic community engagement, and inter agency collaboration in order to ensure the protection of lives, property, and critical national infrastructure across the state.
