The Controller General, Federal Fire Service, Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, has launched a periodic welfare-focused engagement programme aimed at strengthening staff well-being and boosting overall service delivery.
At the event held on Thursday, 23rd April, 2026, at the Federal Fire Service National Headquarters, Abuja, the initiative was formally introduced as part of ongoing efforts to prioritize personnel welfare.
Representing the CGF at the event, which hosted Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) including Leadway Pensions, Parthian Pensions, and Access Bank, the Controller in charge of Staff Welfare and Pension, Controller Digha Bomana, stated that the initiative reflects the leadership’s strong commitment to the welfare of personnel.
She noted that the programme, coordinated by the Staff Welfare and Pension (SW&P) Department, will be conducted on a regular basis and will cover key areas affecting officers and welfare-related matters, to ensure that personnel remain informed and adequately supported.
The session featured health enlightenment activities led by the International Lead of Vibrant Zone, Mrs. Awakuri, and her team, alongside presentations from representatives of the participating PFAs, who engaged officers on pension plans, benefits, and related matters.
Controller Digha Bomana further emphasized that the initiative is not a one-off exercise but a sustained effort designed to continuously carry personnel along and enhance their overall well-being both in service and bhe engagement also provided an opportunity for officers to interact, ask questions, and gain clarity on issues relating to their health.
