KEBBI NSCDC HEAD, KABIRU ALKAMAWA TELLS PROTESTERS TO AVOID VIOLENCE, DESTRUCTION OF PUBLIC ASSETS

In light of the recent protests in Kebbi State, the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), [CC Kabiru Abubakar Alkamawa], has issued a statement to address the concerns of the citizens and ensure the maintenance of peace and order.

The Commandant emphasized the right to peaceful assembly and the importance of voicing grievances through lawful means. He acknowledged the challenges and frustrations faced by the community but urged protesters to remain peaceful and refrain from any actions that could lead to violence or disrupt public order.

“Our primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of all citizens in Kebbi State,” said Commandant [Alkamawa). “We are committed to protecting the rights of individuals to express their views while also safeguarding public and private property.”

In response to the protests, the Commandant has deployed additional security personnel to key areas to prevent any escalation of violence. The NSCDC is working closely with other law enforcement agencies to monitor the situation and respond swiftly to any incidents that may arise.

The Commandant also called on community leaders, youth organizations, and other stakeholders to engage in dialogue and work towards finding constructive solutions to the issues at hand. He reiterated the NSCDC’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace and development in Kebbi State.

“We appeal to all residents to cooperate with law enforcement officers and adhere to the laws of the land,” the Commandant added. “Together, we can achieve a peaceful and prosperous community.”
