FFS Gombe Participates in Inter Agency Meeting on Security, Welfare

The Federal Fire Service (FFS), Gombe State Command, has participated in the quarterly meeting of the Forum of Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) held at the Board Room of the Federal Secretariat in Gombe.

The State Controller was represented by DSF Job Fadason, Head of the Provost Marshal unit. Deliberations at the meeting centred on strengthening inter agency collaboration, enhancing workplace security, improving staff welfare, and promoting efficient service delivery across federal establishments in the state.

Participants emphasised the need for coordinated responses to emerging security concerns within government facilities, noting that improved information sharing among agencies remains critical to preventing incidents and ensuring rapid intervention when required. The forum also reviewed existing safety protocols and encouraged regular joint exercises to test preparedness.

In addition, the meeting highlighted the importance of staff welfare as a key factor in institutional effectiveness. Members called for sustained attention to working conditions, capacity building, and morale boosting initiatives, stressing that a motivated workforce is essential for achieving optimal performance and maintaining public trust in government services.
