The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, has formally commissioned the newly constructed Madagwa Hausawa Divisional Office as part of ongoing efforts to enhance security infrastructure and improve operational effectiveness across the state.
The facility, constructed through the generous support of His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, was officially commissioned by the Honourable Commissioner for Security and Sundry Matters, CP Usman Baba (Rtd), who represented the State Government at the event. The facility was received on behalf of the Commandant General of the Corps, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, by the State Commandant, NSCDC Nasarawa State Command, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Honourable Commissioner commended the Governor for his consistent commitment to strengthening the security framework of the state. He noted that the provision of modern operational facilities would significantly improve the capacity of security agencies to respond effectively to emerging threats and enhance service delivery at community level.
In his remarks, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru expressed appreciation to the State Government for its sustained support to the Corps. He assured that the newly commissioned office would be effectively utilised to enhance intelligence gathering, improve rapid response operations, and deepen community based security engagements within Madagwa and surrounding communities.
He further reaffirmed the Corps’ readiness to continue working in close collaboration with other security agencies and local stakeholders to maintain peace, order, and public safety across the state.
Also present at the event were the Dakacin Madagwa, Alhaji Abubakar Idris, and a representative of the 4 Special Forces Doma, Col. J. Audu, who commended the initiative and pledged continued community cooperation with security agencies in safeguarding the area.
The commissioning of the Madagwa Hausawa Divisional Office represents a further step in the expansion of security presence and the strengthening of community policing architecture in Nasarawa State.
