Vigilante Group of Nigeria Decorates Newly Promoted Officers in Abuja

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) on April 11, 2026, held a decoration ceremony for its newly promoted officers at its National Headquarters in Abuja, marking a significant milestone in the careers of the beneficiaries.

The event, attended by senior officials, members, and well-wishers, was described as a moment of pride and honour, as officers were formally adorned with their new ranks in recognition of their dedication, discipline, and service to the organisation.

Speaking at the ceremony, the newly promoted officers were reminded that their elevation goes beyond the conferment of rank and comes with increased responsibility and expectations. They were urged to demonstrate humility, integrity, and courage in the discharge of their duties.

The leadership of the group also emphasized the need for the officers to remain steadfast in their commitment to supporting security efforts within their communities, while upholding professionalism and public trust in the face of evolving security challenges.

The ceremony concluded with a charge to the officers to lead by example, inspire confidence among their colleagues, and contribute meaningfully to peace and security in their respective areas of operation as they assume their new roles.
