August 1 Protest: NSCDC deploys 520 personnel across 14 LGs in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has deployed 5,000 personnel across the 14 local government areas of the state.

The spokesman of the Command, ASCII Umar Mohammad M, in a statement said the deployment of personnel aims at safeguarding lives and properties of the civil populace, saying that the operatives would also ensure that the critical national assets and infrastructures are protected.

The Commandant, Sani Mustapha also said that the need to guide lives and properties has become so imperative.
