NSCDC Deploys 1,350 Personnel to Ensure Peaceful Easter Celebration in Taraba

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Taraba State Command, has deployed no fewer than 1,350 personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Easter celebration.
The State Commandant, Anthony Bala Bitrus, disclosed this on Thursday at the State Command Headquarters in Jalingo, stating that the deployment forms part of proactive measures to safeguard lives and property during the festive period.
According to him, personnel have been strategically positioned at critical locations, including churches, recreational centres, highways, and other public places expected to witness large gatherings.
Commandant Bitrus emphasised that the operation will involve intensive patrols, surveillance, and rapid response to any security threats. He added that the Corps remains committed to collaborating with other security agencies to maintain law and order across the state.
He urged residents of Taraba State to remain vigilant and cooperate with security operatives by providing timely and useful information that could help prevent crime.
The Commandant further assured that the NSCDC will continue to uphold its mandate of protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, while ensuring that citizens celebrate the Easter season in a safe and secure environment.
Residents have also been advised to go about their lawful activities without fear, as adequate security measures have been put in place across the state.
