The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has received advanced tactical and technological equipment aimed at boosting its operational capacity across the State.
The initiative is part of the strategic plan of NSCDC Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, to enhance the Corps’ ability to effectively deliver on its national security mandates.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony held at the Command Headquarters in Abeokuta, State Commandant Remilekun Omolade Ekundayo said the equipment would be deployed strategically in high-risk and difficult terrains to monitor criminal activities in forests, identified hideouts, and other critical locations.
“The new tools will significantly improve our operational effectiveness, strengthen surveillance operations, and boost our capacity to respond promptly to emerging security challenges across Ogun State,” she stated.
Commandant Ekundayo also praised the leadership of Professor Audi, describing him as a visionary and results-driven leader with exceptional insight and commitment to national security.
The NSCDC Ogun State Command affirmed that the new equipment would enhance the Corps’ readiness and operational efficiency, reinforcing its commitment to protecting lives and property across the State.
