KANO NSCDC COMMANDANT, LAWAL FALALA CONVENES A STRATEGIC MEETING WITH THE MANAGEMENT AHEAD OF PLANNED PROTEST IN KANO

Arising from strategic meeting with the management, area Commanders and divisional officers, Commandant Mohammed Lawal Falala, fcna of the NSCDC, Kano command has tasked all officers and men of the command deployed to protect critical national assets and infrastructure, security of lives and property to exhibit high sense of professionalism amidst planned peaceful protest by youths.

Delivering the CG’s message, Commandant Mohammed Falala during the meeting, warned personnel that on no account should any officer molest, manhandle, harass or assault a peaceful protester. ” You must always respect the dignity and sanctity of human life. We all know the constitutional right of the citizens in staging a peaceful protest, I want you therefore, while relating with the public during the demonstration to behave professionally and civil. You’re to take action only when God forbid the protest turns violent, even in this instance, you should intervene in a professional manner”.

Commandant Falala further directed that all officers must be on ground for this all important national assignment. He also charged personnel to work diligently and in synergy with all the security agents particularly the Nigerian Police, DSS etc while the protest last.

The Corps helmsman in the state also, pleaded with the youths to be law abiding and peaceful, advising that they shouldn’t allow criminals penetrate their ranks, cautioning that justice will always catch up with the criminal elements.

The state Commandant had just returned to the state after attending a crucial meeting with the Commandant General Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR on Monday at the national headquarters, Abuja.

It could be recalled that the NSCDC in Kano has since issued an operational order deploying more than 3,500 personnel for the protection of critical national assets ahead of peaceful protest in the state.
