The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Delta State Command, has deployed 956 personnel across the state to ensure a safe and hitch-free Easter celebration.
The State Commandant, Chinedu Igbo, ordered the strategic deployment of officers to various locations, including identified black spots and flashpoints, ahead of the Easter festivities.
While addressing officers prior to the deployment, the Commandant charged them to maintain professionalism in the discharge of their duties. He emphasized the importance of acting on credible intelligence to prevent any breach of peace during the festive period.
Commandant Igbo further reiterated the Corps’ mandate to protect all critical national assets and infrastructure, stressing that officers must remain vigilant throughout the celebrations.
He also called for strengthened collaboration with other security agencies, noting that inter-agency synergy remains key to achieving a peaceful and incident-free Easter in Delta State.
Assuring residents of adequate security, the Commandant urged Deltans to go about their celebrations without fear, as comprehensive measures have been put in place to ensure a crime-free and peaceful Easter season.
