The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, FCISM, FiCGPA, on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, received a high level delegation from the Ilorin Emirate Security Advisory Council and the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union at the State Command Headquarters in Ilorin.
The delegation was led by retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG B. A. Bolanta, FWC, who said the visit was aimed at formally welcoming the Commandant to the State of Harmony and reaffirming the Council’s commitment to supporting efforts to strengthen security across the state.

He added that the Council would continue to provide advisory support and leverage its wealth of experience to complement the efforts of security agencies in maintaining peace and stability in the state.
In his response, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga expressed appreciation to the Ilorin Emirate Security Advisory Council for the warm reception and goodwill extended to him. He thanked the delegation for their commitment to supporting the Corps in its mandate of protecting lives and critical national assets.
The Commandant assured the Council that the NSCDC in Kwara State remains committed to strengthening collaboration with all relevant stakeholders in order to enhance security, prevent crime and ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents across the state.
